I am a 57 year old mother and graduate of the UMN School of Nursing. Much to my surprise, I am now a small business owner and my passion is producing and selling the trees that my father designed many years ago. I especially enjoy assembling each tree, communicating with our customers, and watching possibiliTrees migrate across the planet. My other interests include music, books, pilates, horseback riding, working with formerly homeless folks, and the cultural richness of Minneapolis.

Arne Sorenson, Partner

I am a 58 year old physician and father. I graduated from Concordia College, the UMN medical school. and the Mayo graduate school of medicine. Some of my most passionate interests include: jazz piano, science, literature, bicycling, anesthesiology, chess, history, squash, the MN Orchestra, travel, cinema, and art. Like my partners, I believe that all things on earth, animate and inanimate, are profoundly connected, being composed of the shards or remnants of ancient exploded stars. Our logo reflects this, as it represents to us both an exploding star and an "angel's view" of a possibiliTree (looking at the tree as an angel would, from above)--hence, possibiliTrees represent our connection to everything.

I've worked mostly in the arts. Highlights of my professional career include having served as executive director of In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre (1991-96), manager of Illusion Theater's $1.3 million Breathing Room for Spirit capital campaign (1998-2001), and project manager for the Artful Teaching and Learning Handbook, a field-tested blueprint for a versatile arts education model (2004/05). For many years I have worked as an arts consultant. I specialize in collaboration. I am particularly fond of working with educators and teaching artists in developing curricululm that employs art and the artistic process to help all students achieve in any subject area to their highest potential. As General Manager of PossibiliTree LLC, I bring my leadership and management skills to the fore. As well, I bring my appreciation of art to the marketplace. I like wood. I like beauty. I like working with my family. Enough said.
